In the fall of 2023, our environmental studies capstone class at the Nelson Institute of UW-Madison collaborated with the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance to develop community-based projects aimed at advancing food justice initiatives in the Upper Midwest. This dynamic capstone experience delved deep into the heart of the food system and its complex power structures while actively participating in advancing social change.
From delving into hazelnut genetics to exploring farm policy options, this webpage showcases an array of final products resulting from our collaborative efforts!
By partnering with the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance, we aimed to make a tangible impact with capstones that directly support emerging farmers raising animals in regenerative silvopasture systems.
